Sully is a small city in Jasper County, Iowa, United States. It was named after a railroad worker named Alfred Sully. In 2020, about 881 people lived there.

History of Sully

Sully was officially planned out in 1882. It became an official city in 1901. The city is located along the Diamond Trail. This trail was once a famous road between Des Moines and Iowa City.

In 1975, a person named Alice Vonk created a special white marigold flower. This flower was even shown in the well-known Burpee seed catalog.
