History of Sun City
Sun City was first started in 1872. The very first post office in the area opened in August 1873. This helped people send and receive mail. The city was officially made a town in 1919.

Sun City covers a total area of about 0.14 square miles (0.37 square kilometers). All of this area is land. There are no large bodies of water within the city limits.
