Susan Clark (born Nora Golding on March 8, 1943) is a talented Canadian actress. She started her movie career in 1967 with the film Banning. The next year, she played a main role in the crime movie Coogan's Bluff.
Susan Clark starred in many other films, including Tell Them Willie Boy Is Here (1969), Colossus: The Forbin Project (1971), Valdez Is Coming (1971), Skin Game (1971), Showdown (1973), Airport 1975 (1975), Night Moves (1975), The Apple Dumpling Gang (1975), Murder by Decree (1979), Promises in the Dark (1979), and Porky's (1981).
She won an Emmy Award for her role as Babe Didrikson Zaharias in the 1975 TV movie Babe. She was also nominated for another Emmy for playing Amelia Earhart in the 1976 TV film Amelia Earhart. From 1983 to 1989, she was well-known for playing Katherine Papadopolis in the TV show Webster. She acted alongside her husband, Alex Karras, in this show and was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress – Television Series Musical or Comedy in 1985.

Early Life and Education
Susan Clark was born as Nora Golding in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada. She grew up in Toronto, where she went to Northern Secondary School. When she was 15, she made her first professional appearance on stage in the musical Silk Stockings.
After that, she went to London, England, to study acting at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts. For two years, she performed in many classic and modern plays.
Acting Career Highlights
In the early 1960s, while living in London, Susan Clark started appearing on British television. She had guest roles in shows like The Plane Makers and The Benny Hill Show. She also performed on the London stage in a play called Poor Bitos.
In 1965, she returned to Canada and appeared in several episodes of the TV series Festival.
Working with Universal Pictures
Starting in 1967, Susan Clark worked for Universal Pictures. She appeared in many TV series and made her first big movie appearance in Banning. She played leading roles in several Universal films. These included Coogan's Bluff with Clint Eastwood in 1968, Tell Them Willie Boy Is Here with Robert Redford in 1969, and Valdez Is Coming with Burt Lancaster in 1971.
She also starred in Showdown with Dean Martin in 1973, Night Moves with Gene Hackman in 1975, and the disaster film Airport 1975. In 1975, she was in The Apple Dumpling Gang with Bill Bixby.
Television Success
In 1975, Susan Clark starred in the TV movie Babe, where she played the famous athlete Babe Didrikson Zaharias. Her performance was highly praised, and she won an Emmy Award in 1976. The next year, in 1976, she played the aviator Amelia Earhart in a three-hour TV movie about her life. For this role, she received another Emmy nomination for Best Actress.
Clark also played Dr. Cleo Markham in Colossus: The Forbin Project and Cherry Forever in Porky's. She was Elizabeth Murray in Emily of New Moon and Elaine Moore in the TV movie Trapped. She also appeared as Beth Chadwick in an episode of Columbo called "Lady in Waiting".
One of her most famous roles was Katherine Calder-Young Papadapolis in the sitcom Webster. She starred in this show for six years in the 1980s, alongside her husband, Alex Karras.
In 2006 and 2007, Susan Clark returned to the stage, performing in plays at the Manitoba Theatre Centre.

Susan Clark married American football player and actor Alex Karras in 1980. They first met when they acted together in the TV movie Babe, where he played her husband. Later, they both starred as husband and wife in the popular TV show Webster. Their daughter, Katie, was born in 1980.
Susan Clark and Alex Karras were married for 32 years until he passed away on October 10, 2012.
