Svalöv Municipality (called Svalövs kommun in Swedish) is a local area in southern Sweden. It's part of Skåne County. The main town and where the local government is located is called Svalöv.

About Svalöv Municipality
Svalöv Municipality is a place where many people live in single-family houses. It's a great spot for families.
How the Municipality Was Formed
A long time ago, in 1952, there were 15 smaller areas. These were combined into six bigger municipalities. Then, in 1969 and 1971, these six areas joined together to create the Svalöv Municipality we know today.
Getting Around Svalöv
You can travel by local pågatåg trains from Teckomatorp, which is in the southern part of the municipality. These trains connect to bigger cities like Malmö, Lund, and Helsingborg. If you want to reach the town of Svalöv itself, you can take a bus from Teckomatorp. It's about a 15-minute ride.
All the villages within the municipality are connected by local buses. This makes it easy to explore.
Villages and Cool Places to Visit
Svalöv Municipality is home to several villages. These include Röstånga, Kågeröd, Teckomatorp, and Svalöv itself.
A part of the beautiful Söderåsen National Park is also located here. It's a fantastic place for nature lovers.
You can also find Knutstorp Castle in the municipality. It's a historic castle with a lot of stories. Right next to it is the Ring Knutstorp race track, where exciting races happen.
Did you know that the famous astronomer Tycho Brahe was born at Knutstorp Castle? He was a very important scientist who studied the stars and planets!
