Swanport is a small area near Murray Bridge in South Australia. It sits on the west side of the Murray River, right next to the famous Swanport Bridge. This bridge is a very important road for trucks carrying goods across the river.
Swanport used to be called Thompson's Crossing or Thomson's Landing. It got its name because many swans used to gather at this spot on the river.
