Swanzy is a small, unofficial community located in Marquette County, which is in the state of Michigan in the United States. It's part of a larger area called Forsyth Township. Because it's an "unincorporated community," Swanzy doesn't have its own official borders or population count. It's more like a neighborhood within the township.
History
The community of Swanzy got its name from a place called Swanzey, New Hampshire. In 1889, a post office was opened in Swanzy. A post office is where people send and receive mail. This post office served the community for several years, but it eventually closed down in 1905.
