Swift Trail Junction is a small community in Graham County, Arizona, United States. It's called a census-designated place (CDP), which means it's an area identified by the government for counting people.
In 2020, about 2,810 people lived there. This community is part of the larger Safford area. Swift Trail Junction gets its name because it's located where two main roads meet: U.S. Route 191 and State Route 366.
State Route 366 is also known as the Swift Trail Parkway. It's a very scenic road that goes through the Coronado National Forest. This road leads to the higher parts of the Pinaleño Mountains, offering beautiful views.
Where is Swift Trail Junction?
Swift Trail Junction is in the southern part of Graham County. It sits right at the bottom of the Pinaleno Mountains. To the north, it shares a border with another community called Cactus Flats.
The main road junction in the area connects U.S. Route 191 and Arizona State Route 366. U.S. Route 191 goes north about 7 miles (11 km) to Safford, which is the main town of the county. If you go south on U.S. Route 191, you'll reach Interstate 10 about 26 miles (42 km) away.
Arizona State Route 366 heads southwest. It travels about 28 miles (45 km) up into the middle of the Pinaleno Mountains.
