The Taku Plateau is a special area of land in the far northwestern part of British Columbia, Canada. It is like a smaller, flatter part of a bigger land area called the Stikine Plateau. This region is known for its beautiful, rugged mountains.

What is the Taku Plateau?
The Taku Plateau is a type of landform known as a "sub-plateau." This means it is a smaller plateau that is part of a much larger one. In this case, it's part of the huge Stikine Plateau. The area is very mountainous, with many peaks and valleys.
Where is the Taku Plateau Located?
This interesting plateau is found in the northwestern part of British Columbia. It has many geographical neighbors. To its south, you will find the Teslin Plateau. This area is part of the even larger Yukon Plateau. Another part of the Yukon Plateau, called the Tagish Highland, is to the southeast.
If you look northeast, you will see the Kawdy Plateau. To the northwest is the Nahlin Plateau. Both of these are also parts of the Stikine Plateau. The Inklin River forms the southwestern edge of the Taku Plateau. Beyond this river are the Tahltan Highland and the impressive Boundary Ranges.
Mountains and Rivers
The Taku Plateau is a very mountainous place. Its highest point is a peak called Nahlin Mountain. This mountain stands tall within the plateau's rugged landscape. The Inklin River is an important waterway that helps define the plateau's boundaries.
Subranges of the Taku Plateau
