Takuya Nozawa (野沢 拓也, Nozawa Takuya, born August 12, 1981) is a Japanese former football player. He played as a Midfielder. Nozawa is best known for his long career with Kashima Antlers, where he won many championships.

Takuya Nozawa's Football Journey

Takuya Nozawa was born in Kasama, Japan, on August 12, 1981. He started his professional football career at a young age.

Early Career at Kashima Antlers

Nozawa joined the J1 League club Kashima Antlers in 1999. He was only 17 years old when he played his first game. This match was against Kyoto Purple Sanga on April 10.

In his early years, it was tough for him to play many games. This was because other talented players like Mitsuo Ogasawara and Masashi Motoyama were also on the team.

Becoming a Key Player

From 2005, Nozawa started playing more often. He became a regular player in the team's midfield. This happened especially after Ogasawara moved to Italy in September 2006.

During this time, Kashima Antlers had great success. They won the J1 League championship three years in a row. These wins were in 2007, 2008, and 2009.

Moving to Vissel Kobe and Return

In 2012, Nozawa moved to Vissel Kobe. He played regularly there, but the team faced a challenge. They were moved down to the J2 League at the end of the 2012 season.

In 2013, he returned to his old club, Kashima Antlers. He played regularly at the start of 2013. However, his chances to play decreased later in the year.

Later Career and Retirement

In August 2014, Nozawa joined Vegalta Sendai. He was a regular player for them until 2015. After that, his playing time started to decrease again.

In 2018, he moved to Australia. He played for the Wollongong Wolves club there. In 2019, he came back to Japan. He joined Regional Leagues club FC Tiamo Hirakata. Takuya Nozawa retired from football at the end of the 2020 season.
