TaleSpin is an exciting video game based on the popular Disney animated TV show of the same name. It's a platform game, which means you guide characters through different levels, jumping and avoiding obstacles. The game was released on several classic gaming systems: the Sega Genesis, TurboGrafx-16, and Game Gear.
Sega launched the game for the Genesis in 1992 and for the Game Gear in 1993. Meanwhile, NEC created their own version for the TurboGrafx-16 system in 1991.

Game Story: What Happens?
This game follows the adventures of Baloo and Kit Cloudkicker. They are two bear friends who deliver important cargo for Rebecca Cunningham. Rebecca is also a bear and runs a business.
However, a powerful tiger named Shere Khan wants to stop Rebecca's business. He hires a group of air pirates, led by the tricky Don Karnage, to cause trouble.
Story on Sega Genesis and Game Gear
In the Sega Genesis and Game Gear versions, Baloo and Kit compete against Shere Khan's company. They are trying to win a special contract to deliver goods for the city of Cape Suzette forever.
Story on TurboGrafx-16
In the TurboGrafx game, Louie tells Baloo about an ancient, valuable artifact. The pieces of this artifact are scattered all over the world. Baloo must find them!
How to Play: Gameplay Basics
The way you play TaleSpin changes a little depending on which game system you use. But all versions are platform games where you control characters through levels.
Playing on Sega Genesis
The Sega Genesis version is a platform game that up to two players can enjoy. You can choose to play as either Baloo or Kit. The main goal in each level is to collect at least 10 cargo boxes. Once you have enough boxes, the exit to the next level will open.
Playing on TurboGrafx-16
The TurboGrafx version is also a platform game. In this game, you always play as Baloo. There's also a fun bonus level where you get to control Baloo's plane, the Sea Duck. Kit rides behind the plane in this special level.
Playing on Game Gear
The Game Gear version is a platform game very similar to the Sega Genesis version. Just like on the Genesis, you can choose to control either Baloo or Kit. Your mission is to collect cargo boxes as you move through the different levels.
