Tangled: The Video Game is an exciting action-adventure game. It is based on the popular 2010 Disney movie, Tangled. This game lets you play on the Wii, Nintendo DS, and Microsoft Windows computers. Planet Moon Studios created the game, and Disney Interactive Studios published it. It first came out in November 2010.

Playing the Game: Gameplay Basics
The game combines different types of fun. You will find platforming, where you jump across gaps. There are also puzzles to solve. A big part of the game is playing with a friend. This is called cooperative gameplay.
Characters You Can Play
You can control Rapunzel, the princess with magical long hair. She was taken by Mother Gothel when she was a baby. A second player can control Flynn Rider. He is a thief who hides in Rapunzel's tower after stealing a crown. If you play alone, you can easily switch between Rapunzel and Flynn. The computer will control the other character.
Rapunzel's Tower: Your Home Base
Rapunzel's room in the tower is like your main hub. From here, you can start story missions. You can also try fun challenges. There is even a coloring activity to enjoy.
Special Abilities of Rapunzel and Flynn
Each character has their own unique powers. These powers match what they can do in the movie.
- Rapunzel: She can heal the environment. She can also make flowers grow using her magical hair. Her hair can also be used as a rope. She can help Flynn reach high places. She can also swing through tree branches.
- Flynn: He can cut through bushes and other things. He uses his saber (a type of sword) for this.
Both characters have a special meter. This meter fills up as you play. It goes up when you collect coins or orbs. It also fills when you heal flowers or fight enemies. When Flynn's meter is full, he can do a powerful special attack.
Weapons and Combat
Both Rapunzel and Flynn have weapons.
- Rapunzel uses a frying pan. She can push enemies away with it.
- Flynn uses a saber. He can completely stop enemies with his sword.
The Story: Following the Movie
The game's story is very similar to the Tangled movie. The original voice actors, Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi, play Rapunzel and Flynn again.
The Magical Flower and Rapunzel's Birth
In a land far away, a king needed a cure for his sick wife. He heard about a magical flower that could heal anything. He made a special drink from the flower. His wife got better right away. But there was a special result: their new baby daughter had long, golden hair. This hair had healing powers too.
Mother Gothel's Plan
An evil witch heard about this amazing discovery. She kidnapped the baby princess. The witch locked her away in a tall tower. She raised Rapunzel as her own child. She also warned Rapunzel about how dangerous the outside world was.
Rapunzel Meets Flynn Rider
Many years later, a bandit named Flynn Rider found the tower. He had stolen a crown. Rapunzel, now a teenager, knocked him out. She agreed to hide his stolen treasure. But she made a deal with him. She would only give back his treasure if he showed her the kingdom. Every year on her birthday, flying lanterns were released there.
