Taylor is a small town, called a borough, in Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is located about 3 miles southwest of Scranton, right by the Lackawanna River.

The town was started in 1790 by a person named Cornelius Atherton. In the past, people in Taylor worked in silk factories and coal mines. It's interesting to know that most of Taylor is built over old, unused mines.

A major highway, the Pennsylvania Turnpike Northeast Extension (I-476), goes through Taylor. You can get on this highway using the Keyser Avenue Interchange. This road connects Taylor to places like Clarks Summit to the north and Philadelphia to the south.
