A music producer helps artists create their songs, from the beats to the overall sound. Teddy started making music with his older brother, June. Teddy Walton's Early Life
Teddy Walton grew up in Memphis, Tennessee. When he was younger, he moved to Columbia, Missouri for high school. He started making music by accident! He downloaded a music-making program called FL Studio, thinking it was a video game. But once he started using it, he loved it.
He got really good at making music by working on projects with his brother, June, who is a rapper. Teddy describes his unique sound as a mix of different artists he loves, calling it "urban epic."
In 2012, Teddy and June released their first music project together called EVOL. It quickly gained attention online, even catching the eye of a music industry person named ASAP Yams. They continued to release more music, including Living Colour: Chapter 1 in 2014 and an EP (a shorter music album) in 2015.

Teddy Walton's first big break with a major record label happened in 2015. He produced a song called "Electric Body" for ASAP Rocky's album At. Long. Last. ASAP. In 2017, Teddy worked on two songs for Kendrick Lamar's fourth album. He produced "Love" and helped with "God". Kendrick Lamar's album became number one on the US Billboard 200 chart and won a Grammy for Best Rap Album. "Love" sold over 4 million copies, and "God" sold over 500,000 copies.

In 2018, Teddy produced "King's Dead" and "Redemption" for Kendrick Lamar's album Black Panther: The Album. "King's Dead" was nominated for a Grammy and won a Grammy for Rap Performance of The Year.
