Tenambit is a suburb located in the city of Maitland, Australia. Maitland is part of the Hunter Region in New South Wales. Tenambit is about 5 kilometers (3 miles) east of Maitland's main city area.

The suburb is built on gently sloping ground. It goes from about 40 meters (131 feet) high in the west. The land then slopes down to about 10 meters (33 feet) high in the east. In 2016, around 2,900 people lived in Tenambit.

Rugby Union Team

East Maitland Eagles

Tenambit is home to a rugby union team called the East Maitland Eagles. They play in the Newcastle and Hunter Rugby Union competition. Their team colors are red, blue, and white.

The East Maitland Eagles team was started again in 2007. They did very well, reaching the semi-finals in 2007, 2008, and 2009. In 2010, they won both the minor and major premierships in their C grade division.

The club has also had two players win the Bert McGregor Medal. This award goes to the best and fairest player in the 2nd Division (C Grade). Craig Clark won it in 2007, and Adam Hewitt won it in 2010.
