  • Charles E. Choate was an architect. An architect is someone who designs buildings. Some of his designs are so important that they are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
  • Jack Carroll Massey (1904–1990) was a very successful businessman. He was born in Tennille. He owned a famous chicken restaurant chain called Kentucky Fried Chicken.
