Who are Some Famous People from Tennille?
Tennille has been home to some notable people:
- Charles E. Choate was an architect. An architect is someone who designs buildings. Some of his designs are so important that they are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
- Jack Carroll Massey (1904–1990) was a very successful businessman. He was born in Tennille. He owned a famous chicken restaurant chain called Kentucky Fried Chicken. He also helped start a big hospital company called Hospital Corporation of America. Later, he owned many Wendy's restaurants too. He was the first American businessman to make three different companies public. This means he allowed anyone to buy shares of these companies.
