Starting with the Atlanta Falcons

An injury kept him from playing much in 2004. He was released from the team before the season started. He did not play in the NFL again after that.
Playing in the CFL
After a year away from football, Edwards joined the Toronto Argonauts in the Canadian Football League (CFL) in 2005. He later moved to the Montreal Alouettes that same year. With Montreal, he caught six passes in two games.
In 2006, still with Montreal, he caught 33 passes. He gained 393 yards and scored one touchdown.
Success with the Blue Bombers
Edwards signed with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in May 2007. This was a big turning point in his career. He became one of the top receivers in the CFL. He was second in receiving yards with 1,280 and tied for second in touchdowns with 9.
He was named an East Division All-Star multiple times, including in 2007, 2010, and 2011. Even at 33 years old, he continued to play well. The Blue Bombers extended his contract for two more years in 2012.
On February 18, 2014, Terrence Edwards announced he was retiring from professional football. He had a great career in the CFL.
