Terry McGriff started his journey in professional baseball when the Cincinnati Reds picked him in the 1981 MLB draft. He made his first appearance in a Major League Baseball game on July 11, 1987.
Playing Highlights and Achievements
One of McGriff's most notable moments happened on August 7, 1988. While playing for the Triple-A Nashville Sounds, he caught a no-hitter. This means the opposing team did not get any hits during the entire game. His teammate, pitcher Jack Armstrong, threw the no-hitter. The game was almost a perfect game, missing it by just one walk. A perfect game means no opposing player reaches base at all.
