History of Thalavoor Village
In the past, Thalavoor was part of a small kingdom called Elayadathu Swarupam. This kingdom was ruled by a branch of the Travancore Royal Family. The capital city of Elayadathu Swarupam was Kottarakkara.
Why is it Called Thalavoor?
Until the 18th century, this area was part of "Ilayidathu Swaroopam." Many important leaders, known as "Thalavanmaar" in Malayalam, came from this place.
