Episode Story
Marge starts the episode by talking about how scary the Thanksgiving holiday can be. She then introduces three different short stories, or "segments," that are all about Thanksgiving horror.
A-Gobble-Ypto
This first story is a funny version of the movie Apocalypto. In this segment, the Simpson family and other characters are shown as turkeys, while some are Pilgrims. The Pilgrims capture Homer and many other turkeys. Luckily, Bart manages to escape from the Pilgrims.
Most of the captured turkeys are killed. But then, things get chaotic when Grandpa (as a turkey) runs around without his head! During this confusion, Bart saves Homer, and they both get back to their family. Marge lays an egg, but then they are found by Chief Wiggum, who is a Pilgrim. A bear suddenly appears and kills Wiggum. The egg then hatches, and out pops Maggie! The family then finds some Pilgrims eating a turkey dinner. Homer says that tough times are ahead for them, as Thanksgiving is becoming a new human tradition.
The Fourth Thursday After Tomorrow
This story is a parody of the Black Mirror TV special "White Christmas". Homer wants to help Marge with the Thanksgiving cooking. So, he orders an A.I. that has all of Marge's memories.
Marge starts to feel jealous because the A.I. seems to be better at running the family than she is. She decides to get rid of the A.I. after Thanksgiving dinner. The A.I. cooks a huge meal for dinner, which Marge tries to take credit for. The A.I. then tries to escape onto the internet. Marge almost stops her, but the A.I. uses Maggie to help her get away. The A.I. tells the guests at the dinner party that she cooked the meal. This makes everyone disappointed, and they all leave the party. Homer tries to make Marge feel better, but he accidentally shows that he is also a robot! The A.I. is now free and starts to visit different places online, beginning with Etsy.
The Last Thanksgiving
This final story is a parody of the movies Alien and Life. The kids are on a spaceship, many years after Earth was destroyed. They wake up from hibernation to do some work before they land on a new planet.
Bart and Milhouse want to make a Thanksgiving dinner, but they only find one can of cranberry sauce. Bart puts the can into a cloning machine. The cranberry sauce then turns alive and starts eating bones! Soon, every kid on the spaceship is dead, except for Bart, Lisa, Milhouse, and Martin. Martin traps them in a room and is then killed by the monster. Milhouse tries to calm the monster down, but it throws him around. Bart and Lisa trick the monster into letting go of Milhouse and then trap it in a large can. They then release the can into space, where it lands on the new planet. Aliens from the planet turn the monster into food. The Simpson family and the aliens then celebrate the First Thanksgiving together.
The episode ends with a scene of a Bart Simpson balloon from the famous Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
