What's the Story?
Imagine a super rich person who got bored of being successful. This person, called "the Boss," decided to build a giant theme park named Underworld: the Theme Park. It's like a twisted version of Hell, where everything good is bad and everything bad is good! The Boss, who pretends to be the devil, wanted to have even more fun. So, he invited a really nice family, the Baskervilles, to live in his park just to mess with them. But when his skeleton helper, Kevin, brought the Baskervilles to Underworld, the Boss might have gotten more than he bargained for!
The show is a bit like The Munsters, but flipped around. Instead of a monster family trying to live in a normal human town, it's a normal human family trying to fit into a city full of demons and strange rules. Everything is the opposite of what they're used to!
Meet the Characters
The Baskerville Family
This family comes from a place called Nice Town. They are super polite and perfect, like a family from an old TV show. But one of the kids isn't so keen on being that nice. They saw an ad for Underworld and thought it would be a great vacation spot. They had no idea what the owner really planned for them!
- Brian Baskerville — He's the dad, and he's so nice it can be annoying! He loves to tell long stories that drive the Underworld residents crazy.
- Janet Baskerville — The perfect mom. She understands Underworld's weird rules a bit better than Brian. But she still tries to do things the "nice" way.
- Darren Baskerville — The polite teenage son. He's often a bit clueless, just like the rest of his family. He really likes Fangora Dracula.
- April Baskerville — She's a smart young girl and totally different from her super-nice family. April is the only one who figures out what the Boss is really up to. She loves Underworld and might even be meaner than the Boss himself! She likes cool guys but is always bothered by Vlad Jr., who likes her.
- Spot — The Baskervilles' pet is a robot dog with three heads, like a cerberus. Each head has its own personality:
- Cool Spot — Wears sunglasses and is Janet's best friend.
- Bad Spot — A wild monster who loves to destroy things.
- Dumb Spot — Probably the silliest creature in the whole park.
- Colin — The Baskervilles' house can talk! Like all houses in Underworld, Colin secretly tries to get rid of the family. But he's always polite about it.
The Lucifer Family
These are demons with purple skin, horns, and red eyes. The Boss runs Underworld with a firm hand, but he's the only truly mean one in his family.
- Nicolas Lucifer III (also known as "the Boss") — He's the bad guy and owner of Underworld. He's so serious about being the devil that some people wonder if he actually believes he's in Hell. He's always thinking of new ways to make Underworld scarier and to bother the Baskervilles. But the Baskervilles usually think his tricks are just part of the fun! Only April suspects how truly evil he is.
- Nicolas Lucifer II (also known as "the Old Man") — The Boss's dad. He's not mean at all; in fact, he's usually very nice. He doesn't like his son's meanness and often tries to secretly help people. For example, he might fix plumbing or dress up as Santa Claus for Christmas!
- Nicole Lucifer — The Boss's teenage daughter. She left home because she was nice and her dad was mean. She created a cute cartoon character called "Itsy Bitsy Wabbit." Nicole speaks with a French accent.
The Dracula Family
The Baskervilles' neighbours are vampires. They look a bit like the Baskervilles' old neighbours from Nice Town. The Draculas have pale blue skin, black hair, and red eyes. They also speak with a strong Irish accent, except for Vera.
- Vlad Dracula — He's a short, quiet man who would rather go fishing than scare people. He often has bandages on his face because, as a vampire, he can't see his reflection and cuts himself while shaving!
- Vera Dracula — She's one of the most beautiful creatures in Underworld. People often wonder how Vlad managed to marry her!
- Fangora Dracula — The Draculas' teenage daughter. She calls herself a rebel, but in Underworld, that means she's a straight-A student who loves dolls and keeps her house tidy! She has a strange relationship with Darren. She likes his "Nice Town" charm but gets annoyed when he tries to fit into Underworld.
- Vlad Dracula Jr. — He's about April's age and is a bit creepy. He spends most of the show following April around and bothering her. April always has to watch out for him trying to kiss her or steal her diary!
The Frankenstein Family
The Frankensteins are creatures that have been brought back to life, like Dr. Frankenstein's monster. They all have green skin and speak with Scottish accents. They are very strong and not very smart. Their favourite thing to do is run around and cause chaos!
- Frank Frankenstein — He's the boss at the Misery Factory, where all the nasty things in Underworld are made. Outside of work, he's the politest person in Underworld, even when he's smashing things during a rampage!
- Fran Frankenstein — You can easily spot her by her big hair and even bigger behind.
- Young Frank Frankenstein — He's around April's age, and April likes him. But he seems too silly to notice.
- Little Monster Annie — She's the smallest and youngest character, but that also makes her the most dangerous!
Other Characters
- Kevin — A skeleton with wings. He's the Boss's main helper and speaks with an Australian accent. He's married to a gorgon and has a skeleton daughter named Noline. Unlike most characters, Kevin is a robot.
- The Police Chief — He's a big, country-style sheriff with a southern U.S. accent. The rest of the police force are strong officers and SWAT teams with sirens on their heads. They follow the Boss's orders.
- Mr. Mad Scientist — He works for the Boss and invents most of the technology in Underworld. He's always tied up in a straight jacket. Two mechanical hands pop out of a hatch on his head to do his work. Some of his inventions have caused big problems in Underworld, including:
- Chuck Steele and Chuck Steele Jr. — These are clones (copies) of Brian's old school rival. They were made to annoy the Baskervilles.
- The Pesky Bats — Three female bats who love to play pranks on everyone.
- The Scarlet Pimple — A clone of an old Underworld villain. He used to kidnap people from Underworld and take them to Nice Town, including werewolves and the Draculas!
- Itsy Bitsy Wabbit — A cute cartoon character created by Nicole. He's actually based on a scary robot monster called the Rodent Revenger III, which the Boss gave to a young Nicole. She didn't like the scary name and called him "Itsy Bitsy" instead. Later, she and Kevin made him into a cartoon character.
