Chronology
Followed by The Fairly OddParents

The show The Fairly OddParents first started as a group of short, 7-minute cartoons. These shorts were shown on a TV program called Oh Yeah! Cartoons. Today, these early cartoons are known as Season 0 of The Fairly OddParents.

These special shorts aired from September 4, 1998, until March 23, 2001. The very last short was shown just one week before the main Fairly OddParents TV series officially began. You can find all of these short episodes on DVD. The first short, titled "The Fairly OddParents!", was like a test episode for the whole series. It was the first time we met important characters like Timmy Turner, Cosmo, Wanda, and Vicky. Each short cartoon was about 7 minutes long, making it the shortest "season" of the show.

More Short Cartoons

Nickelodeon also showed some other short cartoons called Crimson Chin webisodes. These were shown along with the Oh Yeah! Cartoons shorts, including "Where's the Wand?". When these Oh Yeah! Cartoons shorts were shown again, the voice of Timmy, originally done by Mary Kay Bergman, was re-recorded by Tara Strong. These shorts stopped airing on TV after a special episode called The Big Superhero Wish came out in February 2004.
