The Nostalgia Box is a super cool video game museum in Perth, Western Australia. It was the very first museum in Australia where you could actually play old video game consoles! Jessie Yeoh started this awesome place. You can even book the whole museum for a private party or event.
The museum works with groups like the Perth Film and Television Institute and Playup Perth. Together, they host events where you can try out new games made by local game developers from Perth. The museum also has fun themed events regularly.

Explore Classic Games: Permanent Exhibits
Imagine seeing over a hundred video game consoles! The Nostalgia Box has consoles from four different decades. You can see really old ones, like the Magnavox Odyssey from the 1970s. It also has more recent consoles, such as the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
These permanent exhibits are set up in order, from oldest to newest. This way, you can see how video games and consoles have changed over time. It's like taking a trip back in time through gaming history! It's a great way to learn about how gaming started and grew.
Play Your Favorites: The Arcade Area
Besides the cool exhibits, The Nostalgia Box has an interactive arcade where you can play lots of different video games! You can try out classic games like Pong, Space Invaders, Super Mario Bros., Sonic the Hedgehog, and Crash Bandicoot.
There are fourteen different consoles available to play on, including the Atari 2600 and Nintendo 64. Plus, you can find five arcade cabinets, like the popular NBA Jam. It's a perfect spot to challenge your friends or family to a game!
New Owners and Bigger Spaces
In October 2019, David Green bought The Nostalgia Box. The museum had to move to a bigger space in the same building. This new spot at the front of the building meant they could have even more consoles and larger areas for visitors.
Later, in 2023, the museum moved again! It found an even bigger home in West Perth at City West. This new location is 367 square meters, which means there's plenty of room for even more games and exhibits in the future.
