The Tragically Hip are a Canadian rock band from Kingston, Ontario. The Tragically Hip have four members in the band; the current band members are Rob Baker, Gord Sinclair, Johnny Fay and Paul Langlois. Singer Gord Downie was in the band until he died in 2017.

The band was formed in 1983. They released a self-titled EP in 1987 and released their debut album Up to Here on August 30, 1989. The band released their eleventh studio album, Now for Plan A, in 2012. The band was given a star on Canada's Walk of Fame in 2002 and was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 2005. They have won many Juno Awards as well.
