Thomas Earl Gardner (born February 8, 1985) is an American basketball player. He played professionally, including a short time in the famous National Basketball Association (NBA).
Thomas Gardner is a 6-foot-5-inch (1.96 m) guard. He played college basketball for three years at the University of Missouri. In 2006, he was recognized as one of the best players in the Big 12 Conference. He scored about 19.7 points per game that year. After college, he started his professional career playing in Belgium.
Playing in the NBA
Thomas Gardner first played in the NBA with the Chicago Bulls on November 15, 2007. He scored two points in his first game against the Phoenix Suns. A few days later, he had his best game with the Bulls, scoring 14 points against the Denver Nuggets. He later left the Bulls in December 2007.
In August 2008, Gardner joined the Atlanta Hawks. He had played well in a summer league tournament, scoring about 16.3 points per game. He also briefly joined the Memphis Grizzlies in September 2009. Later, in December 2009, he went back to Belgium to play for the Antwerp Giants team.
