Thomas Earl Robinson (born March 17, 1991) is a professional basketball player from the United States who also has Lebanese citizenship. He currently plays for Cangrejeros de Santurce in the Baloncesto Superior Nacional (BSN) league. Thomas was a top player in college for the University of Kansas. He was chosen as the fifth overall pick in the 2012 NBA draft by the Sacramento Kings.

High School Basketball Journey
Thomas Robinson grew up in Washington, D.C. He attended Eastern High School and Riverdale Baptist. Later, he moved to Brewster Academy in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire. In his final year of high school, Thomas averaged 16 points, 13 rebounds, and 5 blocks per game.
He was considered one of the best high school players in the country. Scout.com ranked him as the 24th best recruit. Rivals.com placed him at number 31, and ESPN.com ranked him 40th.
College Basketball Career
Thomas Robinson started his junior year at the University of Kansas in the 2011–2012 season. He was one of 50 players considered for the prestigious John R. Wooden Award. People expected him and his teammate Tyshawn Taylor to be key leaders for the Kansas team.
Amazing Game Performance
On December 31, 2011, Thomas had an incredible game against the University of North Dakota. He scored 30 points and grabbed 21 rebounds. This was a rare achievement for a Kansas player. The last time someone did this was in 1961.
By the end of the Big 12 conference regular season, Thomas was second in the nation. He had 22 games where he scored at least 10 points and had at least 10 rebounds (called a double-double). He averaged 18 points and 11.9 rebounds per game.
Playing Through Tough Times
On January 22, 2011, before a game against Texas, the Kansas team and fans held a moment of silence. This was to honor Thomas, who had lost his grandmother, grandfather, and mother within just three weeks. His coach, Bill Self, said it was "remarkable" that Thomas was even able to play.
College Awards and Honors
On March 4, 2012, Thomas was named the 2012 Big 12 Player of the Year. This award is chosen by the league's head coaches. The next day, the Associated Press also named him the Big 12 Player of the Year.
On April 9, 2012, Thomas decided to leave college early. He entered the 2012 NBA draft to start his professional career.

On June 28, 2012, Thomas Robinson was picked fifth overall in the 2012 NBA draft by the Sacramento Kings. He played for several NBA teams during his career.

National Team Play
In December 2021, Thomas Robinson received a Lebanese passport. This allowed him to join the Lebanon national basketball team. However, he has not yet played in a game for them.
About Thomas Robinson's Life
Thomas faced a very difficult time in college. He lost his grandmother, grandfather, and mother within three weeks. He has a younger sister named Jayla Paris, born in 2003, and an older brother named Jamal Robinson.
After his family members passed away, Angel Morris helped take care of Thomas and his younger sister. Angel is the mother of NBA twin players Marcus and Markieff Morris.
Thomas is also a co-founder of the Family Over Everything Foundation (F.O.E.). He started this foundation with the Morris twins and their mother.
