Thyron Lewis (born November 25, 1982) is an American football player. He is a wide receiver for the Atlanta Havoc in the American Arena League (AAL). Thyron played college football at Howard University. He also went to William H. Taft High School in Woodland Hills, California.

Thyron Lewis has played for many teams. These include the Stockton Lightning, Tri-Cities Fever, Bossier–Shreveport Battle Wings, and Los Angeles KISS. He was also chosen in special drafts for other football leagues.

College Football Career

Thyron Lewis played for the Howard Bison football team. During his time from 2004 to 2005, he caught the ball 30 times. These catches gained his team 513 yards. He also scored four touchdowns.

Professional Football Journey

Thyron Lewis started his pro career in 2006. He first joined the Washington Football Team. He spent two seasons practicing with them. During this time, he learned from Hall of Fame coach Joe Gibbs.

Later in 2008, he briefly played for the Seattle Seahawks. There, he worked with Super Bowl-winning coach Mike Holmgren. After this, Lewis decided to play indoor football.

Indoor Football Success

In 2008, Lewis joined the Stockton Lightning in the af2 league. He caught 28 passes for 384 yards and scored 6 touchdowns. He was then traded to the Tri-Cities Fever in the same year.

In 2009, he played for the Bossier–Shreveport Battle Wings. The next year, in 2010, he returned to the Tri-Cities Fever. He had a great season, catching 50 passes for 675 yards. He scored 25 touchdowns in just 13 games. This earned him a spot on the second-team All-IFL list.

Arena Football League Highlights

In October 2010, Lewis joined the Cleveland Gladiators in the AFL. In 2013, he led his team with 97 catches. He gained 1,430 yards and scored 26 touchdowns.

He later played for the Los Angeles KISS in 2015. After that, he returned to the Cleveland Gladiators. In 2017, Lewis signed with the Jacksonville Sharks. They were part of the National Arena League.

In December 2017, he joined the Atlanta Havoc. This team plays in the American Arena League (AAL). Thyron Lewis has also played defense, making 36 tackles and one interception. He also returned kicks, gaining 119 yards on 16 returns. He was even ranked number 47 among the top 50 arena football players of all time!

Coaching Career

Thyron Lewis started coaching in 2014. He worked as a receivers coach and junior varsity head coach. He coached at several high schools across America. These schools included Orange County Morningside, Millikan, Lynwood Senior, and Allen D. Nease High School.

In October 2020, Lewis became a wide receivers coach for Edward Waters College. Besides coaching teams, Thyron Lewis also trains young athletes. He is the founder and owner of Boomin' 3lite Sports Performance Training in Jacksonville.
