Tiltonsville is a small town located in the southern part of Jefferson County, Ohio, in the United States. It sits right along the Ohio River. In 2020, about 1,259 people lived there. Tiltonsville is also part of the larger Weirton–Steubenville metropolitan area.

History of Tiltonsville
Tiltonsville was started in 1806 by a man named John Tilton. He bought the land for the village at an auction in Pittsburgh in 1796. He paid $3,623.76 for 900 acres. The official document, called a deed, was signed by President John Adams.
A post office opened in Tiltonville in 1852. Its name was changed to Tiltonsville in 1875.
Tiltonsville is also home to the Hodgen's Cemetery Mound. This is a special burial mound built a very long time ago by the Adena culture. The Adena people were an ancient group who lived in this area.

According to the United States Census Bureau, Tiltonsville covers a total area of about 0.56 square miles (1.44 square kilometers). Most of this area, about 0.53 square miles (1.36 square kilometers), is land. The rest, about 0.03 square miles (0.08 square kilometers), is water.
