Tiny Toon Adventures: Toonenstein: Dare to Scare is a fun video game for the PlayStation. It's the second game based on the popular Tiny Toon Adventures cartoon series to come out on this console. The game was made by Terraglyph Interactive Studios. It was released in 1999 by Vatical Entertainment in North America and Swing! Entertainment in Europe.
Game Story
In this game, you find yourself trapped in Baroness Toonenstein's mansion. Baroness Toonenstein is actually Elmyra Duff! You play as Furrball. Your friends, Plucky Duck and Hamton J. Pig, are with you.
Your main goal is to escape the mansion. You also need to find the mansion's hidden treasures. But watch out! Elmyra wants to swap your brains with her strange, cuddly creations. To escape, you must control the mansion's "creepy" power. This will help you stop Elmyra's sneaky plans.
How to Play
Playing Toonenstein involves exploring the mansion and solving puzzles. Here's how you control Furrball:
- The left and right direction keys move Furrball around a room.
- The up direction key helps Furrball move into new rooms. It also lets him use special Acme emergency exits.
- Press the X button to use your bomb bat disablers. These help you get rid of bomb bats.
- Press the triangle button to stop using the bomb bat disabler.
- The circle button makes the mansion's elevator work. You need enough power to use it.
- The square button lets you activate control switches. These switches help you gain power.
When you activate a control switch, different things can happen:
- If a clover icon appears, everything is fine.
- If Hamton's face icon appears, he gets scared. You won't be able to use the elevator until you find him.
- If a money bag icon appears, you get part of a secret code. This code is needed to start the main generator.
- If a bomb bat icon appears, you must quickly find a disabler. Use it before the bomb bats destroy the control switches!
- If the Baroness's face icon appears, you need to quickly find an Acme emergency exit. If she catches you, she'll send you back to the starting room.
- If a control switch gets destroyed, don't worry! An angel bomb bat can repair it for you.
