Tobias Sana's Football Journey
Starting with Qviding FIF
Tobias Sana started his professional football career in 2007. He played for a team called Qviding FIF. Before that, he played for youth teams like Marieholm BoIK and Västra Frölunda IF. Qviding FIF played in the Swedish Division 1 Södra and Superettan leagues. These are the third and second levels of professional football in Sweden. Tobias played 28 games for Qviding FIF and scored two goals.
Playing for IFK Göteborg
In 2009, Tobias Sana joined IFK Göteborg, a team in the Allsvenskan league. This is the top football league in Sweden. He even went back to Qviding FIF for a short time on loan in 2009. By 2012, Tobias was a regular player for IFK Göteborg. Many people thought he was one of the team's best players.
Moving to AFC Ajax
On August 1, 2012, Tobias Sana signed a three-year contract with AFC Ajax, a very famous Dutch football club. IFK Göteborg received €350,000 for him. Tobias made his first start for Ajax on August 19, 2012. He scored two goals in that game and was named "Man of the Match."
Joining Malmö FF
On January 14, 2015, Tobias Sana signed a four-year contract with Malmö FF. This team was the Swedish champion at the time.
Playing for AGF in Denmark
On July 8, 2017, Tobias signed a three-year contract with AGF. This club plays in the Danish Superliga, which is the top football league in Denmark.
Returning to IFK Göteborg
Tobias Sana returned to IFK Göteborg on August 10, 2019. He signed a three-year contract, coming back to the club where he played from 2009 to 2012. In May 2022, Tobias left IFK Göteborg.

Tobias Sana's father is from Burkina Faso, and his mother is from Sweden. This meant he could choose to play for either the Burkina Faso or Sweden national football team. He decided to play for Sweden, the country where he was born.
He was first asked to join the Swedish national team on October 2, 2012. This was for World Cup qualifying games. He played his first game for Sweden on October 16, 2012, against Germany. That game ended in a 4–4 tie. His second game for Sweden was a friendly match against England on November 14, 2012. Sweden won that game 4–2.
Tobias Sana's Family Life
Tobias Sana was born in Sweden. His father is from Burkina Faso, and his mother is Swedish. Tobias has citizenship in both countries. Even though Burkina Faso wanted him to play for their national team, he chose to play for Sweden. His younger brother, Muba, is also a football player. Muba has played for BK Häcken since 2012.
