Tomahawk, Alberta is a small community in Canada. It is called a hamlet. Tomahawk is located in the province of Alberta, within Parkland County. You can find it on Highway 759, which is northeast of the town of Drayton Valley.
This hamlet is part of Census Division No. 11. It is also in the federal area known as Yellowhead.

History of Tomahawk
The first European settlers arrived in Tomahawk in March 1903. Before that, in the fall of 1902, a group of lumberjacks explored the land. They were Ed Martin, Chas. (Charles) Lindell, John Kelly, and John L. Croppley. They returned with news of good land for settling. The first woman arrived in July of the same year. The original building for Tomahawk School was built in 1909.
