Parkland County is a special type of local government area in central Alberta, Canada. It's called a municipal district. This area is located west of Edmonton. The main office for Parkland County, called Parkland County Centre, is just north of the town of Stony Plain.

History of Parkland County
Wildfire Event in 2021
In May 2021, a wildfire started near Tomahawk. Because of the fire, people living in certain areas had to leave their homes for safety. These areas were between Highway 22 and Range Road 63, and Township Road 524 and Township Road 510. The evacuation orders were given on May 5th.

In 2021, Statistics Canada counted the population of Parkland County. There were 32,205 people living in the area. These people lived in 11,914 homes. This number was a small decrease from the 32,737 people counted in 2016.
