Anthony Victor James Yoka (born on April 28, 1992) is a French professional boxer. Before becoming a professional, he was an amateur boxer. As an amateur, he won a bronze medal at the 2015 European Games. He also won gold medals at the 2015 World Championships and the 2016 Olympics.

Tony Yoka's Amateur Boxing Career
Tony Yoka showed his talent early in his amateur career. At the 2010 Summer Youth Olympics in Singapore, he won a gold medal. He competed in the super heavyweight division and beat Joseph Parker, who later became a world champion.
In 2015, Yoka won a bronze medal at the 2015 European Games. This was a great achievement. After that, he won a gold medal at the 2015 AIBA World Boxing Championships. This big win helped him get a spot in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
At the 2016 Olympic Games, Yoka won another gold medal. He beat the British boxer Joe Joyce in the super heavyweight division. This was a historic win for France, as it was their first Super Heavyweight gold medal in boxing. Before this final match, Yoka had also beaten Hussein Ishaish and Filip Hrgović. By the end of his amateur career, Yoka had won 60 fights and lost 12.
Tony Yoka's Professional Boxing Career
In 2017, Tony Yoka became a professional boxer. He trained with Virgil Hunter. His first professional fight was in June 2017 in Paris, where he beat Travis Clark. In October 2017, he won another fight against Jonathan Rice.
On September 28, 2019, Yoka fought Michael Wallisch. Yoka won the fight in the third round by TKO (Technical Knockout). This means the referee stopped the fight because Wallisch could not continue safely.
In his next fight, Yoka faced Johann Duhaupas, an experienced boxer from France. Yoka won easily, knocking Duhaupas down twice in the first round. The second knockdown ended the fight.
On November 27, 2020, Yoka fought Christian Hammer. Yoka won this fight by a unanimous decision. This means all three judges agreed that Yoka won the most rounds.
Yoka then fought Joel Tambwe Djeko for the vacant European Union heavyweight title. This fight took place on March 5, 2021, in Nantes, France. Yoka won by TKO in the twelfth round. He landed a strong jab that made Djeko stop defending himself, and the referee ended the fight.
Yoka's next opponent was Petar Milas, an undefeated boxer from Croatia. The fight was on September 10, 2021, in Paris. Yoka was bigger and more experienced. He won the fight by TKO in the seventh round, stopping Milas right at the end of the round.
Yoka was scheduled to fight Carlos Takam in January 2022. However, Takam had to pull out due to an injury. Martin Bakole was chosen as a replacement. The fight was postponed because of rules related to COVID-19. Yoka later lost to Martin Bakole by a majority decision on May 14, 2022. He was knocked down twice in that fight.
