Tore, also known as An Todhar in Scottish Gaelic, is a small village. It is located in the beautiful Highland area of Scotland. This village is found on a special peninsula called the Black Isle. Tore is part of the Killearnan civil parish.
Discovering Tore Village
Tore is about 7 miles (11 km) north of the city of Inverness. It sits right next to the important A9 road. This road is one of Scotland's main routes.
The Famous Tore Roundabout
A very important part of Tore is its large roundabout. This is where the A9 road meets two other main roads. These are the A832 and the A835. This roundabout is a key point for travel in the Highlands.
How Tore is Arranged
The village of Tore is actually split into different parts. These parts are spread out around the big roundabout. For example, the local school and the village hall are in one area. A service station, where you can get fuel and snacks, is on another side. The homes where people live are spread across both halves of the village.
Nearby Villages
Another village called Munlochy is located about 4 miles (6.4 km) east of Tore. This shows that Tore is part of a network of small communities in the area.
