Touki stopped playing baseball at age 10 because he struggled as a batter. He then focused on playing soccer and hockey. Two years later, he returned to baseball after a friendly bet with a friend.
Touki went to Coral Springs Charter School for his first year of high school. He then moved to Coral Springs Christian Academy in Florida. In 2013, when he was a junior, Touki was a MaxPreps All-American. He had a great pitching record of 6 wins and 2 losses. His earned run average (ERA) was very low at 0.78, and he had 83 strikeouts.
