Jerome "Tra" Blake is an American professional football official. He works in the National Football League (NFL). He started working in the NFL in the 2020 NFL season. He used to wear uniform number 33, but now he wears uniform number 3.

Tra Blake's Football Journey
Before joining the NFL, Tra Blake worked as an official in other football leagues. He officiated games in college football for Conference USA and the Atlantic Coast Conference. He also worked as a referee for the Alliance of American Football in 2019. In 2020, he was a referee for the XFL.
Becoming an NFL Official
The NFL hired Blake in 2020. His first role was a field judge. In 2021, he changed to the umpire position. Then, in 2022, he became a head referee. This happened after another referee, Tony Corrente, retired.
First Games as Head Referee
On September 11, 2022, Tra Blake was the head referee for his first NFL game. The Washington Commanders won against the Jacksonville Jaguars 28-22. This game took place at FedEx Field.
On December 17, 2022, Blake officiated a very exciting game. The Minnesota Vikings made the biggest comeback in NFL history. They were losing 33-0 to the Indianapolis Colts. But they came back to win 39-36 in overtime!
Blake also worked a special game on Christmas Eve. It was between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Las Vegas Raiders. The league honored Franco Harris that day. He was a famous player who had passed away. The Steelers won the game 13-10.

Tra Blake lives in Clermont, Florida. When he is not officiating NFL games, he has another job. He works as a quality assurance director. This job is for a company in Orlando that makes software for medicines.
