Tracy is a small city in Platte County, Missouri, in the United States. It is located right next to the Platte River. In 2020, 269 people lived there. Tracy is also part of the larger Kansas City metropolitan area.

History of Tracy
Tracy was founded in 1872. It was named after J. W. Tracey. He was a superintendent, which means a manager, for the Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad. A post office opened in Tracy in 1882.
Geography of Tracy
Tracy is located on the northwest side of the Platte River. It is directly across the river from Platte City.
Missouri Route 92 is a main road that goes through Tracy. I-29, a larger highway, passes by to the northeast.
The United States Census Bureau says that Tracy covers a total area of about 0.42 square miles (1.08 square kilometers). Most of this area, about 0.41 square miles (1.06 square kilometers), is land. A small part, about 0.01 square miles (0.02 square kilometers), is water.
