Trazan & Banarne was a super popular Swedish children's television series. It first aired in the late 1970s and early 1980s on Sveriges Television. The show first appeared as part of Jullovsmorgon (Christmas Holiday Morning) in 1976 and 1977.

The main characters are Trazan Apansson and Banarne. Lasse Åberg played Trazan Apansson, and Klasse Möllberg played Banarne. These two characters also recorded many fun songs with the band Electric Banana Band. The TV series also showed other cartoons, like Lucky Luke.

Discovering Trazan & Banarne

The show follows the adventures of two best friends, Trazan Apansson and Banarne. They live in a cool tree house in the jungle. They even have a trampoline there!

Life in the Jungle Treehouse

Trazan is a character inspired by Tarzan, the jungle hero. Banarne is a playful monkey. Their favorite food is, of course, bananas! They often share exciting stories with each other. They also talk about famous characters like the Phantom.

Music is a big part of their lives. They sing songs by famous Swedish artists. These include Povel Ramel, Lennart Hellsing, and Hans Alfredson. Trazan loves to play the banjo. Banarne is great at playing the guitar. Sometimes, a stunt man named Johan Thorén visits them. They also go on fun trips to places like Leksaksmuseet (the Toy Museum).

Learning Road Safety with Olyckan

In 1980, the TV series worked with Trafiksäkerhetsverket. This is Sweden's Road Traffic Safety Administration. They created a new character called Olyckan, which means "The Accident." Ted Åström played Olyckan.

Olyckan liked it when Banarne made mistakes while driving. But Trazan always taught Banarne how to drive safely. He showed him how to avoid accidents. This part of the show helped kids learn about road safety.

Funny Farmers: Pulver & Nicko

The show also had a funny sketch series called Pulver & Nicko. Pulver was played by Klasse Möllberg. Nicko was played by Lasse Åberg. These sketches took place in the countryside.

Pulver and Nicko were two dirty, hoarse farmers. They would ask each other riddles. When they heard the answers, they would fall backward, laughing hard. For the New Year's Eve show in 1982, they even traveled to London, Paris, and New York!

Rocking Out with Electric Banana Band

Besides Trazan and Banarne's own songs, there was a musical part called Rocktajm. This segment featured the rock band Electric Banana Band. Their songs were all about jungles, bananas, wild animals, and Tarzan. Their music was very energetic and fun!

Music and More from Trazan & Banarne

Trazan and Banarne, along with the Electric Banana Band, released many albums. They shared their fun jungle-themed songs with everyone. Some of their popular albums included Sångtajm med Trazan och Banarne and E' bananerna fina?!. They also released several compilation albums with their best songs.

The show also had different TV series and even a movie. These included Trazan & Banarne (1976-1978) and Electric Banana Band the Movie - djungelns kojigaste rulle (1998).
