The Tri-Lakes area is a special region in northern El Paso County, Colorado. It gets its name from three beautiful lakes: Monument Lake, Palmer Lake, and Lake Woodmoor. This region includes several towns and communities. These are Monument, Palmer Lake, Woodmoor, Gleneagle, King's Deer, and Black Forest.

The Tri-Lakes region is located along the Palmer Divide. It's about 40 miles south of Denver and 20 miles north of downtown Colorado Springs. The United States Air Force Academy is also close by, about 5 miles to the south. A big highway called Interstate 25 runs north and south through the area, making it easy to travel.

People Living in Tri-Lakes

In 2020, the government counted how many people live in these communities. This count is called a census.

  • Monument had 10,399 people.
  • Woodmoor had 9,536 people.
  • Gleneagle had 6,649 people.
