Trimble is a small city in the southwestern part of Clinton County, Missouri. It is located in the Kansas City metropolitan area in the United States. In 2020, about 573 people lived in Trimble.

History of Trimble

Trimble got its name from J. M. Trimble, who was an important person working for the railroad. The city was first known as Carpenter's Store. When the railroad tracks reached this spot, the town was officially planned out, and its name was changed to Trimble.

A post office opened in Carpenter's Store in 1858. The name of the post office, and the town, officially changed to Trimble in 1899.

Where is Trimble Located?

Trimble is found in the very southwest corner of Clinton County. It is located along Missouri Route F and U.S. Route 169, which are important roads. Just one mile to the east of Trimble, you can find Smithville Lake. This lake is on the Little Platte River.

The city covers a total area of about 0.50 square miles (1.53 square kilometers). All of this area is land, with no water.
