Troian Avery Bellisario (born October 28, 1985) is an American actress. She is well-known for her role as Spencer Hastings in the popular teen drama TV series Pretty Little Liars, which aired from 2010 to 2017. She also starred in the police show On Call in 2025.

Early life
Troian Bellisario grew up in Los Angeles. Her parents are famous TV producers Deborah Pratt and Donald P. Bellisario. Her father created many well-known TV shows like Magnum, P.I., Quantum Leap, and NCIS.
She went to Campbell Hall School in Studio City, California, from kindergarten all the way through high school. She was even the top student in her graduating class! After high school, she studied at the University of Southern California and earned a degree in Fine Arts in 2009.
Career
Early acting roles
Troian started acting when she was very young. Her first role was in the 1988 film Last Rites when she was just three years old. Her father directed this movie. In 1990, she appeared in an episode of her father's TV series Quantum Leap.
Later, in 1998, she acted alongside Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen in the movie Billboard Dad. Before her big break, she also appeared in several short independent films starting in 2006.
Becoming a star in the 2010s
In 2009, Troian was chosen for the role of Spencer Hastings in the TV series Pretty Little Liars. This show was based on a popular book series by Sara Shepard. It became a huge hit!
Troian also enjoys creating her own projects. In 2011, she started working on her own film, which was funded by fans through Kickstarter. The film was finished in 2012.
In 2014, she appeared in a music video for the song "Another Story" by The Head and the Heart. In 2017, she starred in her own movie called Feed. She also wrote and produced this film, which was inspired by her own life experiences.
Troian even got to direct an episode of Pretty Little Liars in 2016. This made her one of the first actors from the show to direct an episode. She has also been recognized for her acting in other films like C.O.G. (2013), Clara (2018), and Where'd You Go, Bernadette (2019).
Recent projects in the 2020s
In 2022, Troian acted in the comedy film Doula. She played the main character, Deb. In 2025, she will star in the TV series On Call.
Personal life
Troian Bellisario started dating actor Patrick J. Adams in 2009. They met while working on a play together. They also worked on several other projects, including Pretty Little Liars and the TV series Suits.
Troian and Patrick got married on December 10, 2016, in Santa Barbara, California. They have two daughters named Aurora and Elliot.
In a podcast, Troian and Patrick shared a funny story about their second daughter's birth. She was born very quickly in the backseat of their car in the hospital parking lot! Luckily, hospital staff arrived quickly, and both Troian and the baby were healthy.
In 2014, Troian gave a special speech at her old university, the USC School of Dramatic Arts, for their graduation ceremony.
