Tropical Park is a huge park in Miami, Florida. It covers 275 acres, which is like 200 football fields! You can find it in Miami-Dade County, near the Palmetto Expressway and Bird Road. It's a popular spot for fun and activities for everyone.

Park History: From Race Track to Fun Park

This amazing park opened its doors in 1979. Before it became a public park, the land was home to the Tropical Park Race Track. Horses raced here from 1931 until the park was created.

When Can You Visit Tropical Park?

Tropical Park is open every day for visitors. You can enjoy the park from 7:00 AM until 10:30 PM. If you need to speak with park staff, their office is open Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Tropical Park has tons of cool facilities for sports and outdoor fun!

  • Sports Centers: You can find a boxing center here. There are also fields for football, soccer, and softball.

The Tropical Park Stadium is a big sports venue. It's the home base for the Miami-Dade Track and Field Team.

This stadium has hosted many important athletic events. These include the Junior Olympics and national track and field championships. Local high school football teams also play their games here.

Santa's Enchanted Forest: A Winter Wonderland

Every year, Tropical Park transforms into a magical place! From early November to early January, it hosts Santa's Enchanted Forest.
