Trésor Kandol's Football Journey

Starting His Career

Trésor Kandol began his football journey at Luton Town. He was named young player of the year twice there. He also became the youngest player to join the first team. After Luton, he moved to AFC Bournemouth. He scored one goal for them in a cup game.

Later, Trésor played in non-league football. He became a great goal scorer for Thurrock. He scored 79 goals in 110 games! This amazing record helped him get noticed again by bigger clubs. He then joined Dagenham & Redbridge. There, he scored nine goals in 13 games. He also had a good loan spell at Darlington.

Playing for Barnet

Trésor joined Barnet and made a big impact. On 18 November 2006, he scored a winning goal in injury time against Rochdale. This goal completed his hat-trick (three goals in one game). It also helped Barnet win their third league game in a row.

Trésor was the top scorer in the FA Cup with six goals for Barnet. He scored some memorable goals, like a lob from the halfway line against Cardiff City. His strong performances caught the eye of several bigger clubs. These included Crystal Palace, Cardiff City, and Leeds United.

Time at Leeds United

After scoring 18 goals in 21 games for Barnet, Trésor joined Leeds United. This was a loan deal on 23 November 2006. He made his first appearance as a substitute two days later. His first full home game for Leeds saw him score a goal against Barnsley.

In January 2007, his move to Leeds became permanent. Leeds was later moved down to a lower league. Trésor scored a last-minute winning goal in the first game of the 2007–08 season. He played well with fellow striker Jermaine Beckford. He even won player of the month awards for August and September. Despite scoring 15 goals, he sometimes lost his starting spot. Leeds reached the play-offs that season. Trésor came on as a substitute in the final, but Leeds lost.

Loan Spells and Later Career

In 2008, Leeds signed new forwards. Trésor was then loaned to Millwall. He scored just 13 seconds into his first game for them! He continued to score important goals for Millwall. He became their top scorer and helped them climb the league table.

After his loan at Millwall ended, he joined Charlton Athletic on loan. He scored his first goals for Charlton in a game against Watford. Charlton wanted to sign him permanently, but Leeds decided to keep him.

Before the 2009–10 season, Trésor was told he might not have a future at Leeds. However, he played well for the reserve team. He scored a hat-trick in one game. He returned to the main team and scored more goals. His season was interrupted by an injury. He made fewer appearances, often coming off the bench. In his last game for Leeds, he was sent off. He decided it was time for a new challenge. On 4 August 2010, he left Leeds United.

After leaving Leeds, Trésor became a free agent. On 5 September 2010, he signed with Albacete, a team in Spain's second division. However, his time in Spain was short due to injuries. He left the club in November 2010. The club president said he was a "great lad with a superb sense of humour."

In August 2011, Trésor talked about joining Plymouth Argyle. However, he did not show up for training or a press conference. The club was unsure where he was, and the deal did not happen.
