In 2009, Tschierv joined with several other villages, like Fuldera and Müstair, to create the larger municipality of Val Müstair. This means Tschierv is now a part of a bigger local government area.

Discovering Tschierv's Past

Tschierv has a long history. The village was first written about in documents way back in 1432. At that time, it was called Zirff. For a while, people also knew it by its German name, Cierfs.

These include Aintasom-Tschierv, Chasuras, Plaz, and Orasom-Tschierv.
