Tunahan Kuzu, born on June 5, 1981, is a Dutch politician. He has a Turkish background. He was a Member of Parliament (MP) in the Netherlands for many years. He served from September 20, 2012, until December 5, 2023. He first joined the Labour Party. Later, he helped start a new political party called DENK.

Growing Up and Studying
Tunahan Kuzu grew up in a town called Maassluis in the Netherlands. He went to Erasmus University Rotterdam. There, he studied public administration. This field teaches you how governments and public services work.
After university, he worked as an advisor. He helped companies with their healthcare plans. He also served on the city council of Rotterdam. This means he helped make decisions for the city. He was a council member from 2008 to 2012.
Tunahan Kuzu's Political Journey
Tunahan Kuzu started his national political career in 2012. He became a Member of Parliament (MP) for the Labour Party. An MP helps make laws for the whole country.
In 2014, something big happened. Tunahan Kuzu and another MP, Selçuk Öztürk, left the Labour Party. They decided to form their own group. This group was first called "Group Kuzu/Öztürk."
Starting the DENK Party
Soon after, their group became a new political party. They named it DENK. The word "DENK" means "Think" in Dutch. Tunahan Kuzu became the leader of this new party in Parliament. This role is called the Parliamentary group leader.
In the 2017 Dutch general election, DENK did very well. The party won three seats in the House of Representatives. This meant they had three MPs, including Tunahan Kuzu.
Leadership Change
Tunahan Kuzu led the DENK party in Parliament until 2020. Then, Farid Azarkan took over as the party leader. Tunahan Kuzu continued to serve as an MP until late 2023.
