Tupele Dorgu (born on December 13, 1977) is a talented English actress. She is well-known for playing the character of Kelly Crabtree in the popular TV show Coronation Street from 2004 to 2010. She has also appeared in many other TV shows and stage musicals.

Early Life and Education
Tupele Dorgu grew up in the Preston area of Lancashire, England. She went to St Clare's Primary School and Our Lady's High School. Later, she attended Kirkham Grammar School. Her mother has Irish and English family, and her father is from Nigeria.

Tupele Dorgu has had a busy career in television and theatre. She has appeared in many different types of shows.
Television Roles
Before joining Coronation Street, Tupele acted in other TV dramas. She appeared in Merseybeat, Casualty, and Doctors.
Her most famous role was Kelly Crabtree in Coronation Street. She played this character for six years, from 2004 to 2010. After leaving Coronation Street, she made a short appearance in the BBC show Waterloo Road in 2011.
In 2013, Tupele became the narrator for Brendan's Magical Mystery Tour on Channel 4. From 2015 to 2016, she joined the cast of Hollyoaks as Dr Berrington. In 2016, she also appeared in David Walliams' TV movie Billionaire Boy. More recently, in 2024, she was in the final episode of the soap opera Doctors.
Stage Performances
Besides TV, Tupele Dorgu has performed in many exciting musicals. She was in La Cage Aux Folles and Three Minute Heroes. She also performed in the famous West End show Mamma Mia!.
In 2012, she played the lead role of Velma Kelly in the UK tour of the musical Chicago. She has also starred in pantomimes, like playing the Sorceress in Robin Hood in Newcastle.

In 2005, Tupele was a contestant on Strictly African Dancing. In January 2007, she took part in the reality singing show Soapstar Superstar.
