Tyjuan was part of the Indianapolis Colts and also played for the Seattle Seahawks. He was chosen by the Colts in the 2005 NFL draft. Tyjuan Hagler grew up in Kankakee, Illinois. He went to Bishop McNamara High School. He was a very talented football player there.
High School Achievements
In his junior year, Tyjuan was named first-team All-State. This means he was one of the best players in the entire state. He helped his team have an amazing season with 13 wins and only 1 loss. They even made it to the state playoffs, finishing in second place.
During his senior year, Tyjuan continued to shine. On defense, he made 3 sacks and 61 tackles. A sack is when a defensive player tackles the quarterback behind the line of scrimmage. A tackle is when a player stops an opponent with the ball. On offense, he was also a star. He ran for over 1,400 yards and scored 25 touchdowns. Playing for the Indianapolis Colts (First Time)
The Indianapolis Colts picked Tyjuan in the fifth round of the 2005 NFL draft. This meant they believed he had a lot of potential. He played for the Colts from 2005 to 2009.
A major moment in his career was helping the Colts win Super Bowl XLI. This was a huge championship game against the Chicago Bears. During that game, Tyjuan made a key play. After leaving the Seahawks, Tyjuan rejoined the Indianapolis Colts on September 29, 2010. He was briefly released again but then re-signed with the Colts on October 10, 2010.
He made another exciting play during a game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jaguars tried an onside kick. This is a special kickoff where the kicking team tries to get the ball back. Tyjuan caught the ball and ran it 41 yards for a touchdown! This amazing play helped the Colts win the game 34–24. Winning that game was very important. It helped the Colts win their division, the AFC South.
