Ultamatix was a special computer program. It helped people easily add other programs, music and video files (called codecs), different fonts, and helpful software parts (libraries) to their computers. It was made for computers that used a type of operating system called Linux, especially those based on Debian or Ubuntu. These extra programs and files were often not available directly from the computer's main software store.
How it Started
Ultamatix was created after another similar program called Automatix stopped being developed. It took over where Automatix left off. Ultamatix had many of the same features as Automatix. The person who made Ultamatix said they fixed many of the problems Automatix had. Ultamatix was designed to work well with Ubuntu 8.04, a popular version of the Ubuntu operating system at that time.
