Umair Jaswal (Urdu: عمیر جسوال) is a talented Pakistani artist. He is known as a singer, songwriter, music producer, and actor. Umair comes from Islamabad, Pakistan. He was also the main singer for the rock band Qayaas. Umair has two brothers, Yasir Jaswal and Uzair Jaswal, who are also singers.

Early Life and Family
Umair Jaswal was born and grew up in Islamabad. His father is a scientist. Umair first studied dentistry at university. Later, he changed his studies to geology.
Even while studying, Umair always loved the arts. He joined a music band and acted in theater plays. He completed his schooling at IMCB F-10/3 Islamabad. Umair has five brothers and one sister. His brothers Yasir Jaswal and Uzair Jaswal are also well-known artists.

Music Journey
Umair Jaswal began his music career in 2008. He joined the rock band Qayaas. The band became popular in 2009 with their songs Tanha and Umeed.
In 2012, Umair and Qayaas appeared on Coke Studio season 5. They performed the song Charkha Nolakha with famous singer Atif Aslam. Qayaas released their first album, Uss Paar, in 2011. Umair was the lead singer for this album. Two songs from the album, Halaak and Inquilaab, were even featured in the film Waar.
Umair decided to perform as a solo artist in Coke Studio season 6. He sang Khayal in the first episode. This song was also used in the movie Waar.
In 2013, Umair was chosen as Pakistan's youth ambassador. This was by the International Human Rights Commission.
He returned to Coke Studio season 8 in 2015. There, he performed Sammi Meri Waar with QB. This song became a huge hit. It received millions of views very quickly. Umair shared that the song helped him reach a much wider audience.
Acting Roles
Umair Jaswal also started acting on television. His first TV show was Mor Mahal in 2016. He played a main role as a nawab alongside Meesha Shafi.
In 2017, Umair made his film debut in Lollywood. He appeared in the war film Yalghaar. In the movie, he played the role of Captain Umair.
