Vérossaz is a small town, also called a municipality, located in the Saint-Maurice district of the canton of Valais in Switzerland. It's a quiet place with a rich history and beautiful natural surroundings.

Geography of Vérossaz
Vérossaz covers an area of about 14.3 square kilometers (5.5 square miles). A big part of this land is covered by forests, making up almost half of the area. About a quarter of the land is used for farming, like growing crops or for animals to graze.
A small part of Vérossaz has buildings and roads. The rest of the land is made up of rivers or areas that are too rocky or have too much vegetation to be used for farming or building.

The official symbol, or blazon, of Vérossaz is a shield divided into four parts. Two parts are red with a silver cross that has clover-like ends. The other two parts are black with a golden crown. This design represents the town's unique identity.
People of Vérossaz

Over the last ten years (from 2000 to 2010), the population increased by almost 19%. This growth happened because more people moved to Vérossaz than left, and also because more babies were born than people passed away.
