Oswaldo Fumeiro Alvarez (born August 21, 1956 – died May 25, 2020), known as Vadão, was a Brazilian football manager. He was famous for coaching the Brazil women's national football team. He coached them in important tournaments like the FIFA Women's World Cup.

Vadão's Coaching Career
Vadão had a very long and busy career as a football coach. He started coaching in 1990. Over the years, he worked with many different football clubs in Brazil.
Early Coaching Years
Vadão began his coaching journey with Mogi Mirim. He coached them for several years. After that, he moved to other teams like XV de Piracicaba and Guarani.
Coaching Top Brazilian Clubs
Throughout his career, Vadão coached some of Brazil's biggest football clubs. These included Corinthians and São Paulo. He also coached Atlético Paranaense multiple times. His experience helped many teams improve.
International Coaching Experience
In 2005, Vadão even coached a team in Japan, Tokyo Verdy. This showed his skills were recognized beyond Brazil. He brought his knowledge of Brazilian football to a new country.
Coaching the Brazil Women's Team
Vadão is best known for coaching the Brazil women's national football team. He coached them from 2014 to 2016. He then returned to coach them again from 2017 to 2019. He led the team in the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup. After the team's journey in the tournament ended, he left his role as coach.
